Are your fans wearing out, losing performance, or no longer suitable for your process? Rather than replacing everything, MECAVENT provides refurbishment of industrial fans of all brands, types, and manufacturing years, from medium to very large diameter rotors.
Our services:
- replacement of rotors with identical ones, or redesigned for improved performance;
- exchange of an old fan for a new model with the same connection dimensions;
- restoration in our Sarralbe workshop (boilermaking, balancing, testing) or on-site intervention;
- addition of a frequency inverter to adjust flow rate and reduce electricity consumption.
Rotor Improvement and Repair
Each rotor is analyzed and then improved based on the actual constraints of your installation:
- Performance: blade profile revised to restore, or even exceed, original flow rate and pressure;
- Efficiency: fewer air-handling losses, thus lower electricity consumption;
- Abrasion Resistance: hardfacing and wear-resistant coatings for dust-laden flows;
- Corrosion Resistance: stainless steel or coatings adapted for aggressive and humid gases.
Careful rotor balancing then ensures vibration-free operation.
Repair of Air-Handling Accessories
Industrial fan refurbishment does not stop at the fan itself: network accessories also suffer from wear, corrosion, and high temperatures. MECAVENT repairs or custom-manufactures them, identically or improved:
- guillotine valves;
- control and isolation dampers;
- tilting gates;
- compensators and flexible connectors.
Result: a network that is once again sealed, reliable adjustments, and an installation that regains its performance.
Industrial fan refurbishment: repair, upgrade, optimise
An industrial fan that vibrates, consumes too much energy or no longer delivers the required airflow does not always need to be replaced. Industrial fan refurbishment restores performance and reliability while keeping the existing foundations, ducts and connections, which reduces cost and downtime.
In our workshop in Sarralbe, we dismantle and inspect the fan, then carry out the necessary work: impeller repair or replacement, new shaft and bearings, casing repairs and welding, dynamic balancing and vibration analysis. After reassembly, airflow tests confirm that the fan meets its duty point again.
Efficiency upgrades
Industrial fan refurbishment is also an opportunity to improve efficiency. A redesigned impeller, a new high-efficiency motor in line with Regulation (EU) 2019/1781 on electric motors and a variable frequency drive can significantly reduce energy consumption. We can also add silencers or an acoustic enclosure to lower noise levels.
